Reap the benefits of dirt therapy!
Come out to the farm on Fridays from 9 am to noon, April through October, and get your hands dirty! Not only is it incredibly helpful to us, the farmers, but we truly believe gardening has incredible health benefits as well. Volunteering is open to the public; you do not need to be a Chickahominy Falls homeowner to join us! You can come one time or every week, it is up to you, but please sign up so we are properly prepared!
We currently have some amazing volunteers that assist us in setting up, tearing down, and running our Wednesday and Saturday farm stands. If you are interested in volunteering at a farm stand, please reach out to
Kara Siewers, Field Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are hoping to add a few more folks into our rotations, especially as we head into the thick of summer! Thank you!
Please note: our volunteer program is separate from our Workshare program. Volunteering is non-committal, but does not come with a vegetable share.
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, a water bottle, gardening gloves (we have extras if you don't have any), sunscreen, and a sun hat. You're also welcome to bring a lunch to enjoy in the barn afterwards.
We also welcome volunteer groups at other dates and times, so please reach out if you are interested in helping on the farm!
