Weekly Farm Tours

For individuals, families, or groups of less than ten, we offer farm tours to the public, with a suggested donation of $10/person.

Walk the fields with our farm crew and learn about farming in Virginia; our basic farm practices, from seed to sale; why we grow without the use of synthetic chemicals (and how we manage pests and weeds); the importance of diversity on a farm; and why we use composting, cover cropping, and crop rotation. You will have a chance to ask questions on the tour, as well.

Private Educational Farm Tours

School groups, camps, corporate groups, and beyond! Come learn about diversified, chemical-free farming, firsthand.

60-minute tour $15/person

90-minute tour $20/person (includes hands-on activity, such as planting seeds or harvesting)

Groups of all sizes are welcome however, there is a $200 minimum on all group tours.

What you will learn about:

From seed to sale: our overall farming practices
Naturally grown vs. conventional produce
What does 'Certified Naturally Grown' mean?
Composting, cover cropping, and crop rotation
Greenhouse growing basics
Tips on growing your own food and supporting local farmers
There will also be opportunities to ask questions
