Earlier this month, Chickahominy Falls welcomed the warm weather in style with the season opening of Woodside Farms! More than 100 guests joined us throughout the day to take in the sights, sounds, and spirit of the farm in full bloom. With garden tours, live music, and the energy of The Woodside Market, the event brought our community together in the best way possible — through shared experiences, local connections, and a deep appreciation for all things homegrown.
It was a celebration of spring and a look at what life at Chickahominy Falls is all about — being outdoors, supporting local artisans, and coming together with neighbors to enjoy simple, meaningful moments. From exploring the farm’s updated field amenities to enjoying a refreshing drink while listening to music, there truly is no shortage of ways to connect and unwind.
A sincere thank-you goes out to everyone who attended and helped make April 12th such a success. Your presence and participation are what breathe life into events like these and make Woodside Farms a place where community continues to grow.
We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the talented local vendors who made the market such a standout feature of the day:
Keira – Fairy Hair Magic
Stephen Duggins – Repurposed Sculpture & Seedlings
Chloe Lynn – Chlocet LLC
You Matter Juice Company
Linda Bruce
Lisa Pitzer
Jodi Hedstrom – Hedstrom’s Homegrowns LLC
Pam Graham – Paper Tweets
Laura Baum – Laura’s Botanicals
Lorrie Gunn – Artful Creations
Kathy Burgess – Kathy’s Flower Child
Marie Woznicki – Ghost Flower Studio
Amy Magee
Thank you all for sharing your craft and creativity with our community. We’re so fortunate to have such a diverse and dedicated group of makers who help make the market an experience in itself!
This is just the beginning of what’s to come this season at Woodside Farms. Keep an eye out for upcoming events, workshops, and more opportunities to enjoy all that the farm — and this community — has to offer.
Until then, we’ll keep doing what we do best: growing good food, great experiences, and a place where people truly feel at home.
